The Midnight Sun 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will take place in the streets of Fairbanks on June 14th and 15th. The tournament draws teams from throughout the state and operates as the Alaskan championship. Numerous divisions allow players from 8 - 80 to compete for the opportunity to win the coveted "champions tee shirt."
 
The 2007 Fairbanks tournament attracted over 90 participants but that number should dramatically increase in 2008. On May 2nd and 3rd, the "Challenge Life 3 on 3 Regional Tournament" in Barrow drew 120 participants. Teams from Barrow, Nuiqsut and the Nome area will be converging on Fairbanks in June adding to the excitement and numbers of this summer's hoop festival.
